Birds of Prey in the Southwestern Desert
Ian took some great photos while visiting in Tuscon, Arizona, where his Mom keeps the locals in check with her ass kicking '69 Pontiac Firebird!. That's his sweet 1973 Formula Trans Am. He drove the whole way straight through from Livermore CA, start to finish. Averaged 17MPG with the car loaded down, through LA traffic and up the 10,000ft climb over pigeon pass. Cruised at 80-85 the whole way. Not too shabby. Not exactly cheap though, one station he paid 2.79/gallon for mid grade.
