Making Aftermarket Mufflers/Exhaust for Challenger T/As and AAR 'Cudas T/A Mufflers

1970 Dodge Challenger T/A & Plymouth Cuda AAR New Reproduction, Factory Style Exhaust Tips. These exhaust tips have the factory style diffuser.


This is how the T/A or AAR exhaust system looks. This picture is taken from the rear. The exhaust comes straight back from headers/manifolds, to the special mufflers, and then loops out from the front of the the muffler back, exiting in front of the rear tires.


Dealer Instructions given to all Mopar Dealerships selling the AAR and T/A. The exhaust tips were typically stored in the trunk during transit because of problems while loading/unloading the cars from the transporter. Click on the picture for a full-size picture

Here's your Flowmaster part number:
2.5" inlet, 2.5" outlet - #52580
5" thick, 10" wide, 23" overall length, and have a 17" case length.

A NOS Muffler Assembly was painted flat black from the factory and were this way when installed on the assembly line. The reproductions to are not painted black but should be. This is often overlooked or purposely left natural. To be correct they should be painted flat black.
