1929 Ford roadster hot rod updateAlways neglecting the updates on this project, partially because I've been so distracted by other projects the last few years that things progressed at a snails pace. I've sold off and traded some of the other junk so I can get this thing running and driving.Still..... a LOT of things have happened and I'm leaving a LOT out of little crap in this update but I figured I had to start somewhere so here it is.
C-notching the rear for a bit of clearance, Clarence.
Of course I can't find the finished pictures so you'll have to squint your eyes and pretend they're there.
Steadfast Subframe installed... In a sense this was kind of a delay because I tore out the somewhat primitive yet functional square tube rear subframe I made to install this. It's really nice but nicer than a hack like me deserves. Fixing the front half of the subframe is still on the To-Do list...
Most recently though I tore out the rear suspension for some finishing and painting.
I'm most likely going to add a torque arm for extra torsional rigidity at some point, probaby around the time I get a more serious engine. Just finished the body mounts and will move onto getting the brakes functional, both the hydraulic and E-brake. Already have the E-brake handle finished, now onto the cables... The hydraulic clutch works, finished that in between just no pictures... NEXT Get those brakes pressurized, fix the front shackles (bushings), mount the steering column and seat, set the valves in the engine (at least I hope thats the problem... hopefully not a cam swap gone wrong), mount a seat.....
