Leakdown test on the old 383 revealed than half the cylinders were at 80% leakdown, and the other half at 50%. This is one shot 383! Take a close look, every exhaust valve whacked every piston, severely!! Always replace your timing chain. At one point I pulled the timing chain cover of and the chain had skipped several teeth!
