1974 Plymouth Gold Duster – My second car – Photos from the Past!
My folks found this set of pictures of my second Duster, a 1974 Plymouth Gold Duster originally equipped with a 318 two barrel, 904 automatic, 2.45 geared 8 1/4 rearend, and a SNAKE SKIN VINYL TOP!! Oh yeah, super swingin’ 70′s baby!! I made many great memories in this car. With a 2.45 geared rear end the top end was amazing, I buried the 120 MPH speedometer a lot more than...
January 2013 Turlock Swapmeet
Remember the first time you touched a boob? That’s the feeling I get whenever the January Turlock swapmeet rolls around and this year was no different. About a week beforehand I walked my sideyard and garage and listed everything I didn’t want on Craigslist and netted a wallet full of cash to spend in the annual Modesto Area Model A’s world famous swap meet. Armed with...

Drunken Garage Burnout – Kyle’s 1955 Chevy
Kyle’s “1955 Bel Air V8 charged Chevy” doing a burnout in his garage. Sayonara neighbors!! Not shown: the Tracy cops showing up, asking us quite politely to “stop revving the engine” He did not issue any citations, despite burnout tracks, copious empty beer bottles, and Kyle trying to sell his car to said police officer. Thank you Tracy cops for being...
Better Late than Never! – Billetproof 2012 Car Show – Sep 29, 2012
I was awake before dawn and the cool fall morning air was crisp and sharpened the edges of your senses. The exhaust was burbling away on the jalopy roadster as the engine warmed up and the promise of an exciting day that filled me with excitement. This morning I was meeting up in Livermore on Vasco Road to caravan out to the show. Matto ‘Double Trucker’ Jamison showed up driving...
1956 Chevy 210 – December 2012 Update
So I scored this sweet ’56 Chevy project, it needed everything, but I’m so much more motivated to work on it than the Ford F-100 I traded for it. I had a 350 my Pop gave me that came out of his ’57 Chevy, a World Class T-5 transmission, and a scattershield. Within days I had them all screwed together and Dan helped me drop them into the car to check the fit. Seeing as...
Steering Box surprise! – 1956 Chevy 210
The steering box I got with 1956 Chevy had been cut off a few inches out of the box and a tilt steering column was in the car. Not wanting to use a tilt column I found a replacement box and column out of a 1957 Chevy and cleaned it up. While cleaning it up I notieed the adjuster bolt was missing so I grabbed the one off the box in the car. I bolted everything back together but for some reason...
New Pictures of the 1967 Plymouth Valiant
I went out and snapped some new photos of the Valiant Coupe, mainly because I’m going to be offering it up for sale soon. I just have too many projects (again!) and not enough time. Read More →
Traded one 1956 for a 1956 of a different flavor…
I was cruising Craigslist searching for a Tri-Five Chevy station wagon when this little car popped up. I fired him off an email seeing if he’d be interested in a trade for the 1956 Ford f-100 I scored for free a few months back. After checking each others cars out a deal was struck. I’m pretty stoked! Plans for now are just to make it a beater driver and start driving ASAP....
