Fun Times for All! My Old Valiant Sedan

1968 Plymouth Valiant 100 sedan Slant Six, Four on the Floor It really was one of those “You had to be there!” kind of things, or maybe “Happiness is a total Beater!” I made a ton of great memories bombing around in this little car. We’d pack it full of gearheads, pick a DD, and booze it up all night long with the music cranked as loud as we could take it!...

Junkyard trip 8/28/04

Just another junk yard run! At Dorris’s I picked up the non-AC alternator brackets for a small block Mopar for $10, and most of a Holley carburetor out. I will be able to completely rebuild a Holley 600 with the parts I’m been given. Ian gave me a thrashed, ugly Holley 600 a year or more ago, and it needed some new parts. Yankin’ and Slammin’ a Sixer

Yeah, I’m tired and creativity is at a low right now…. 2.28.04 So yeah, I had a slant six three on the tree ’68 Valiant, and that column shift crap really was pissing me off. So I got a parts car, which luckily came from Kansas with non-California smog legal Super Six (a two-barrel carb instead a single barrel unit, and better exhaust) and an overdrive (0.73 final drive)...

Dodge Aspen Converted-ble Wagon

Dodge Aspen Converted-ble Wagon

I can’t remember if we pushed it or flat towed it home with the Valiant, but we got it there, much to my neighbor’s dismay. The problem was ignition related; popping the hood revealed the epoxy they potted the Electronic Ignition control module was running down the firewall. Being the proper Mopar Gearhead that I am, I had a good Orange Box on the shelf I was able to plug in,...

The way I got the Valiant

The way I got the Valiant

I found it on Craigslist.com, reading something like this: Plymouth Valiant 1968 Must Go 1968 Plymouth Valiant, Must go! $500 or best offer. 4 door, slant six, three on the tree. last modified: Wed, 7 Jan 14:06 Plymouth Valiant 1968 Must Go – $500 Date: 2004-01-07, 2:05PM Well, I needed a daily driver, and the scores of plastic Hondas and Import crap did not appeal to me at...
