Slant Six Club Bay Area 2011 Car Show

Slant Six Club Bay Area 2011 Car Show

I found a Slant Six car show on Sunday that sounded like hoot, so I gathered up some friends and we too our six poppin’ Chryslers to Redwood City! Steve drove his 1964 Plymouth Valiant drop-top and I took my little daily grinder the 1967 Plymouth Valiant coupe. It was pretty quiet when we got there, but the cars kept rolling in until about 1:30 or so. This is an aluminum block...

The Barracuda’s new clothes

Ian puts the wraps on Tony’s 1966 Plymouth Barracuda. Sporting a fresh coat of Sassy Grass green paint, hood scoop, and black stripes reminiscent of a 1970 Road Runner, this thing has come a long way since it first came home many years ago.  Read More →

Steve’s 1966 Plymouth Belvedere

This is when it was still Slant Six powered!!! Long story, but this has been in the family for years. Steve wanted it years ago before he joined the Air Force, but got a Valiant instead. Finally in his hands, he’s got some changes planned for it, like a big block Chrysler! Clean interior! That’s original mileage, baby!! Currently parked next to his old man’s Satellite,...

Doug’s 1958 Plymouth

Doug has recently gotten his old heap fired up again with a new engine and fresh coat of primer. I believe it is running a Chevy 383 stroker with a TH350. DONUT WHEEL in LIVERMORE!!! Nice shot at dusk. I was adding the old pictures I took of your car to the new version of my webpage, and it turns out those pictures were taken 6/24/03. Exactly six years to the day after I took those...

Fresh Paint for Tony’s 1966 Plymouth Barracuda

Tony’s Barracuda had been sitting in primer for years until Ian came along a month ago and started the heavy duty bodywork process. He was trying to get it finished for the Mopar Alley car show, but even though he missed that goal, the car is now painted. The paint is a 1971 Mopar color, “Sassy Grass Green”. I would have been hard to have picked more eye-poppin’...

Mopars North of the Gate 2009

Mopars North of the Gate 2009

Wine Country Mopars put on a show every year at Infineon Raceway. It’s one of my favorites, because it combines all the popular elements us car guys like: Drag Racing, a Car Show, and a small Swap meet! This year I drove my Challenger up for a little drag racing. Kyle brought his Coronet, and we met Steve with his Belvedere there and Bill with his Coronet. This black on black 1970...

Faster Farms 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II takes on Thunderhill!

Faster Farms 1966 Plymouth Belvedere II takes on Thunderhill!

Where to even start… It’s street legal. They drove it from Alameda up to Thunderhill. There’s no heater and no glass save the windshield. They had chicken suits. This car was perfect down to every last detail. Like the varnished donuts and pizza that were bolted to the dash. They won the award for “Most Dangerous Banned F1 Technology.” Why? They had a rear wing made out of an...
